Let’s Party

It is Friday once again and time for another Stamp Off Challenge.  This time our challenge is about parties or party words or any words.  I decided to take it as all of those things.  That way I would be safe!

Here is the card I made.  I decided I needed to step it up after the amazing projects Jackie and Buffy made last week.

At first glance it looks pretty boring, although it is a boring card with nice colors!  This is what happens when you open it.

Pretty cool, huh!  It is called a Wiper Card.  I actually got the idea from a video I saw on Pinterest that Barb Mullikan made.  I just changed the design she made.

This is what it looks like open.

I used a couple of different stamp sets to make this card.  The first is called Celebration Time.  The sentiment, cake and party hat are all from that set.  It has matching Thinlits called Celebration and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  The ‘Happy Birthday” sentiment is from Vertical Greetings.

Now, let’s go see what amazing projects Jackie and Buffy made.  As always, I am sure they will be awesome!

Vertical Garden

Vertical Greetings is a stamp set that is in the 2016 current Annual Catalog and will also be carried over in the new Annual Catalog that comes out June 1st.  It is a great stamp set because all the sentiments are vertical instead of horizontal.  This allows you to stamp a sentiment in a small skinny section of your card.  It is extremely popular with my customers because it is so different.

I inked the flowers and pot using my Stampin’ Write Markers.  They are great for coloring one stamp different colors.  Al you need to do is color each section and then “huff” over the ink to moisten it.  It is really easy to do and works well.

I embossed the sentiment with Versamark and then sprinkled White Stampin’ Emboss Powder on top of it.  Then I heated it up with my Heat Tool to melt the embossing powder.

Emory Jade is 11 weeks old already and is growing like a weed.  Here is a picture of her with her Dad at a concert.  I think she likes the music!

Vertical Greetings

It seems like I have posted a lot of thank you cards lately.  I had to make a whole bunch of them to send to someone who needed to thank a lot of people who helped her family out.  After I did that I realized that I didn’t have nay left for myself so I began a crusade to replenish them in my stash.  You probably wonder what I do with all these cards I make.  If you think about it, I post a minimum of five days a week, every week.  That is 260 cards a year! Well, I share them.  I send bunches of them to my sisters and mother to use.  They love them and use them so it works out well.

I made this card using the stamp set called Vertical Greetings.  I like this set because the sentiments are different (because they are vertical).  The Designer Series Paper I used is called By The Shore.  Both of these items are in the 2016 Annual Catalog.

Vertical Greetings

This is the third card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses the stamp set called Vertical Greetings that is in the 2016/2017 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  I love this new set because the sentiments can fit easily into a smaller space.

Speaking of our stamp club, we presently have an opening.  If any people who are local to me are interested in joining us and would like more information, just send me an email and I will tell you all about it.  It is a fabulous group of ladies who meet once a month.  We each take turns being hostess so everyone gets a chance at earning free products.  It is an easy going group and we have a lot of fun each month.

Happy Birthday, America!

Vertical Greetings

Since I already made a patriotic card last week for our weekly Stamp Off Challenge, I decided not to make another one but still made a card using red, white and blue to celebrate our country’s birthday.

I used a new stamp set from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog called Vertical Greetings.   Greeting that are vertical were really popular a few years ago and I always liked them so I was happy when Stampin’ Up! came out with a new set.  It is a really cute set with three different topiaries and six different vertical sentiments.

Happy Birthday, America.  You are still a great country!
