A Window Box Thinlits Card

One of the great things I love about Stampin’ Up! is how versatile their products are.  You can mix and match stamp sets, dies and colors.  Everything coordinates so you don’t have to guess what goes with what.

I used a die set on this card called Window Box Thinlits.  Now, as you can see, I didn’t make a box with it but instead I used a couple of the other dies in this set to make a card.  The candles and the polka dot squares were cut using these dies.

The banner is from Birthday Banners, Banners For You and Bunches of Banners Framelits Dies.  You can save 10% by purchasing the Banners For You stamp set and Bunches of Banners Framelits in a Bundle until May 31st.  After that, the Bundle price goes away.

The best part of this card is all the stamp sets and dies are being carried over to the new Annual Catalog!

Another Window Box Card

This is a third item in my series of using the Window Box Thinlit Dies that are in the 2017 Occasions Catalog.  On Tuesday I showed you what the actual box that this set of dies makes.  Yesterday, I showed you a card I made using these dies.  Today I am showing you another card that we made at our monthly stamp club meeting last night.

To make this card, I first cut the design out of a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Then I took a 3.5″ x 3.5 ” piece of Vellum and adhered it over the back side of the cardstock.  You can see the pattern of the die through Vellum.  I took my markers (Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum and Old Olive) and colored the flowers so it looked like this:

The last thing I did was back the design with another piece of Whisper White card stock.  That made the colors really stand out.

The Celebrate sentiment is from the stamp set called Birthday Bright.  This set is also in the 2017 Occasions Catalog.

Window Box

Yesterday I showed you how to make a box using the Window Box Thinlits Dies.  One great thing about Stampin’ Up! is their products are very versatile.  Today I used the same set of dies to make this card.  Check out my post tomorrow to see another card made with them.

To make this card, first I stamped Happy Birthday from the stamp set called Birthday Banners a few times in the top right corner.  I cut out the candles using one of the dies from Window Box and then backed the dies with colored cardstock (Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder and Daffodil Delight).  Lastly, I stamped “Make A Wish” from the stamp set called Window Shopping.   I think the hardest part of making this card was stamping Happy Birthday over and over.

Window Box Thinlits

In the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog they have a Bundle called Window Shopping that includes a stamp set by the same name and a set of Thinlits Dies called Window Box.  You can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.

I decided to use the dies to show you the box they make.  It makes a six sided box that you can use the other dies to cut inserts into the top or the sides of the box.  It really is adorable and not hard to put together at all.  When you are done reading, you can look at the video I posted below to see how easy it was.

One of the dies includes also makes the banner you see on top of the box.  It cuts and scores the banner to make it have some depth.

I know sometimes it is hard to just purchase something that only makes 3d items.  This does does so much more.  Check out my blog tomorrow and the  next day to see some cards I made using these dies.   They are adorable!
