Wood Words is a stamp set I received for free at the November OnStage last year.  This set has not gotten a lot of use so I decided to give the new (awesome) sets a break and use a older set.  This stamp set coordinates with Wood Crate Framelits Dies and Layering Circles Framelits Dies.

The colors I sed to make this card are Whisper White, Balmy Blue and Basic Black.  This card is a CAS (clean and simple card) and just took a couple of minutes to make.  I have to say Balmy Blue is a gorgeous light blue color.

I haven’t posted a picture of any of my grandchildren in a while so I thought it was time.  My youngest (and only) grandson is Nolan.  He was born yesterday but somehow he became eight months old last week.  He is a cutie pie if I do say so myself!  All you need to do is look at him and he smiles and he has the sweetest disposition to match!

Inspiration With Wood Words

Sometimes I see things in magazines or on the internet that catch my eye.  I think, I can make a card using that design.  The other day I ran across this picture:

I think this is an adorable dresser but it also gave me an idea for a card.  I received a free (one of many free) stamp sets at Stampin’ Up! OnStage last April.  One of the sets I got is called Wood Words.  It is not really my style of stamps but it fit this project perfectly!

As you can see (or maybe you can’t) but I actually sponged each of the squares and rectangles with Crumb Cake Ink.  Buffy will be so proud!

Wood words does have a matching set of Framelits called Wood Crate Framelits and if you buy both in a Bundle you can save 10%!

Sneak Peeks

As you know, I went to a Stampin’ Up! Onstage Local event in April.  If you are a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator you can attend these events.  They are so much fun but the best part was we got a copy of the 2017 Annual Catalog and we got to play with some of the new products.

There is always a Make ‘N Take at these events.  This year we got to play with four different suites from the catalog.  I thought I would share a couple with you today and the rest later on this week.

This first set of cards is from the suite called Wood Textures.  It includes an awesome set of Framelits called Wood Crate, a stamp set called Wood Words, Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and 1/4″ Copper Trim (yes, I said Copper ribbon!!). You will be able to buy the stamp set and dies Bundle and save 10%.

This is such a cute set and everyone loved the crate you can make with it.  It is hard to see in the picture but the Copper Ribbon has a sheen to it.  It is beautiful!  You will be able to order items from this suite beginning June 1st.
