Char is a Downline of mine but years before she became a downline she became my friend.  We actually met because I decided to stay home with my youngest son, Zachary,  when he was a baby because he was having so many issues.  In order to make ends meet I started a small daycare.  Char hired me to watch her three children and we have been friends ever since.

Char and I have been trying to get together this summer to have a fun day stamping, swimming and boating but we haven’t managed to do because of busy schedules.  The other day we finally found a time we could see each other so Char came over to the cottage and brought me the most beautiful gift.  This is what it looked like:

It was this gorgeous box made out of Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper.  Isn’t it adorable?  Here is what the card looks like up close:

It is a fun fold card that is held together on the front by the the two starbursts.  The Designer Series Paper on the card matches the box and the sentiment is from All Things Thanks.  Inside Char wrote the sweetest things.

Inside the box was the cutest dish towel that fits right in with the cottage.  I know it is hard to see from the picture but the colors are gorgeous (think Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point) and the Adirondack chairs match our stamp set called Colorful Seasons.

Char and I spent the afternoon talking about everything from Stampin’ Up! to children to parents to grandchildren.  It was a delightful afternoon even if we didn’t get any stamping done! We all need to take more time to spend with our friends.  Life gets too busy and we shouldn’t let it!
