Wishing You Well

Wishing You Well is a new DisINKtive stamp set that is in the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  DisINKtive stamps are designed by Stampin’ Up! to show depth to an image.  You can see this best with the bow where it looks darker where there would be a layer (such as the knot)  One tip when using DisINKtive stamps is it is better to use Stamping Sponges them or a Sponge Dauber to ink them.  There are a few of these kind of stamps in the catalog.

I stamped the wreath in Call Me Clover and the bow in Blueberry Bushel.  The Designer Series Paper is called Best Route and is in the 2018/2019 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.

A couple of weeks ago I was telling you that my son, Zachary, his wife Mary and his daughter, Emory (sometimes called Emy) were coming to visit me.  It turns out that Mary could not come.  She ended up having back surgery and could not travel.  Zachary and Emory decided to come anyway because it would be easier for Mary to recuperate without Emy.  Emy likes here Mama to pick her up and Mary can’t do that right now.  In any case, we had an awesome time!  Emy is 18 months old.  She is absolutely adorable, although a little sassy at times.  Zachary seems to think she takes after Mary but I seem to remember a little boy being quite sassy at times too so I am not so sure.  In any case, Rob and I had a great time with them.

  1. Is it okay to buy a stamp set, just for the bow? Because I’m in love with that bow!! Fabulous colour combination – it just pops. I can’t believe how quickly Emy is growing; I’m sure it was just a month ago you were sharing ‘new baby’ pictures. Best wishes to your daughter-in-law on her back surgery recovery!

  2. I agree – the bow is AWSOME! But so is your card. I love all of it – the color the wreath, the sentiment, everything. But that girl! She is so adorable (all your grands are!). I can’t believe she’s 18 months arealdy.
