No one likes to have to send a sympathy (or prayer) card due to a death in the family or a serious illness but, unfortunately, it is a fact of life. Stampin’ Up!® makes this hard task a bit easier because they offer a lot of choices when it comes to this.
For my sympathy card I used the stamp set called Beauty & Joy. This stamp set is in the 2019 Holiday Catalog. It is great set because it has choices of the pots as well as the tree. It is also a DisINKtive Stamp set which means it has depth to the images using one stamp. The sad news is this stamp set will be retiring on January 2nd so if you like it, you need to purchase it before then.
To make this card, I first stamped the basket in Crushed Curry. Then I stamped the trunk in Early Espresso and the leaves in Pretty Peacock. The Designer Series Paper is called Garden Lane and is in the 2019/2020 Annual Catalog. The greeting is from Itty Bitty Greetings. I stamped that in Pretty Peacock and then cut it out using the Classic Label Punch.
A couple of weeks ago my daughter in law had an accident which left her unable to get around very well so I flew down to Alabama to help out. That means I got some Emy time which is always a good thing. Emy is 2 going on 16. She is sweet, sassy and beautiful (if I do say so myself).
This is a beautiful card Susan. So serene and perfect for the situation
A lovely sympathy card, Susan – just right. And you’re right again – Emy is beautiful! Glad you had some family time 🙂
These are hard cards to make, but yours is perfect. However, as beautiful as your card is, it’s totally overshadowed by that gorgeous granddaughter. She is absolutely beautiful. Glad you got some time with her!
