Prized Peony

Stampin Up Prized Peony

I am still on my kick to use my Designer Series Paper that I purchased this past year.  Of course, there is no way I am going to use it all up but I am making a dent in it.  The DSP I used on this card is called Peony Garden.  It is so soft and beautiful.  The colors are Basic Gray, Gray Granite, Petal Pink and Whisper White (now called Basic White).    It has great flower designs on one side and beautiful patterns on the other.

This card was very simple to make.  I first stamped the flower in Petal Pink ink on Basic White card stock using the Prized Peony stamp set and then cut it out using the coordinated Peony Dies.   I embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder and adhered that to a Basic White card base.  Then I cut a piece of the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper that was 4.25″ x 4.25″ and cut the top at a slant.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set called Good Morning Magnolia in Gray Granite ink on a piece of Petal Pink card stock and then adhered that on top of the DSP and Basic White piece to cover the seam.

This card was very simple to make but looks very elegant to me.   Prized Peony and the coordinating Peony dies will be carrying over into the new catalog.  Unfortunately, Good Morning Magnolia is retiring as so is the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper.  If you love those products as much as I do, you need t order them by May 3rd when they will be gone for good.
