Stampin Up Beauty Of Friendship

Stampin’ Up!® makes the most beautiful dies that sometimes the only thing you need for a card is a sentiment from a stamp set.  In the 2021/2022 Annual Catalog there is aSuite called Beauty Of The Earth.  This suite includes a stamp set, dies, Designer Series Paper and an embossing folder. I made this card using the Beautiful Trees Dies that are included in this suite.  The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set called Beauty Of Friendship (and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a bundle).

To make this card I first layered the green piece of Beauty Of The Earth Designer Series Paper onto a Misty Moonlight card base.  The I used a die from the Basic Borders to add the arch on the piece of Balmy Blue DSP and adhered that to the card base.  I love how the DSP looked like grass and the sky so I didn’t have to do anything else.  Then I cut out the trunk of the tree in Early Expresso, the background of the leaves in Mossy Meadow and the detail of the leaves in Old Olive cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight in and cut it out using the coordinating die.  It was such an easy card to make but I love how it came out.

I told you the other day that my son, Sam and his daughter, Madelyn came up for a week visit.  Prior to them coming I would talk to Madelyn on the phone and tell her all the fun things we were going to do when she got here.  She could jump in the lake, swim, go fishing, go for a boat ride and ride on the jet ski.  I picked them up at the airport and we got back to the cottage about 5 PM.  Madelyn jumped out of the car, immediately put on her bathing suit and wanted to do ALL those things immediately!  We managed to jump in the lake, swim around and go fishing but that was about it before dinner.  She literally ran from one thing to the next.  The funny thing is she did that all day, every day, until the day she left!  Even that morning she managed to do some swimming and fishing.  Whew!  Young energy is very tiring!

  1. Just read your hint on Splitcoast about using legos in the misti when using wooden stamps. Can you be a little more specific — it seems like a very great idea
