I love stamps, dies or Designer Series Paper that can make outdoor scenes. Stampin’ Up!® actually has a lot of these products in the new 2022 January – June Mini Catalog. There is Oceanfront and On The Horizon stamp sets and coordinating die set called Horizon. There is also New Horizon Designer Series Paper.
This time I decided to use stamps to make a scenery card. In this case I made the background using the stamp set called Oceanfront. This set has all the elements to make a beautiful background. To make this card the first thing I did was stamp the sand in Sahara Sand ink. Then I flipped the stamp set the other way and stamped the water using Coastal Cabana ink. The sky is Pacific Point and uses a different stamp in this set.
The next thing I did was stamp the dune grass in Crumb Cake ink. I stamped the birds and the sentiment from the stamp set called On The Horizon in Night Of Navy ink. At the last minute I decided to die cut the fence from the die set called Horizon using Sahara Sand card stock. I cut some small pieces from a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheets and added it to the back, middle pieces of the fence so it would like like it was rounded. Then I used Multipurpose Glue to adhere the ends of the fence. I like the fence but it blocks the dune grass and in retrospect I should have stamped the grass on the fence too.
Susan, this is absolutely beautiful. I love the colors, the placement of the birds and sentiment. Delightful. I find scenes really tough, but you do such a wonderful job.
What a gorgeous waterfront scene! I’d like to be there 🙂
This is beautiful, Susan! Are you getting ready for February?? I like the grass behind the fence. It looks like it’s supposed to be that way. Great card!!
