Mini Pocket Envelope

Stampin Up Mini Pocket Envelope

This is the third card we made at my mini stamp camp last week.  In case you forgot, I decided to concentrate on using Stampin’ Up!®  stand-alone dies from the 2022/2023 Annual Catalog and the July – December Mini Catalog.  Last week I showed you some tags for birthdays and Christmas.  Earlier this week I showed you a card where we used the Designer Tags.  This time we made a simple birthday card with a fun gift card holder inside it.

To make this card I first cut a 1.5″ x 5.5″ piece of Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper.  This paper is a hostess item that can only be purchased using hostess dollars.  There are 48 sheets in this pack which is enough to last a lifetime (almost)!  I took a 1/2″ strip of Pool Party card stock and attached it to the back of the strip of DSP.  Then I adhered it to the Basic White card base.  I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink using the Biggest Wish stamp set.

Next, I cut some more of the Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper using the Mini Pocket Envelope Die.  This die is perfect for holding a gift card and it only takes one die to make it.  The die set comes with a total of ten dies so you can add embellishments to your pocket envelope such as a bow and leaves.   It also has various dies to cut out sentiments for the front.

After this, I cut out the set of leaves in Blackberry Bliss card stock.  I wrapped a .75″ x 6″ piece of the DSP and wrapped it around the pocket envelope.  I adhered the leaves under that piece.  I used a stamp from the set called Charming Sentiments, stamped it in Pool Party ink and cut it out using a stitched oval die from the Mini Pocket Envelope die set.

Remember there are lots of these stand-alone dies in the catalog.  You can see them in the index in the back.

  1. Susan, this is such a LOVELY card, with a surprise inside. I love the idea that someone opens it to find the beautiful envelope inside.
