This is the second project we made at our monthly stamp club meeting. It is called an Eclipse Card and is extremely popular right now. I had a couple of members request to make this because they have seen them everywhere. They are super easy to make. You either use Designer Series Paper for the background or stamp a background. Then you cut out a word and pop up the letters using Mini Dimensionals.
For the background we used the Designer Series Paper from the 2017 Holiday Catalog called Year Of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper. It is hard to see in the photo but it beautiful paper that has gold, silver and copper accents. We cut out the word “NOEL” using the Large Letters Framelits. I made it a little easier for my Club members by lining up the letters ahead of time and them attached them using retired Washi Tape.
Then we cut out the snowflakes from Silver Foil Paper using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Des.

Another beautiful card, you mean!! So gorgeous – and I finally ordered the large letter dies, so I’ll be able to try this technique next week! Thanks for sharing your tip about lining up the letters & holding them in place with washi tape, Susan. That’ll make it much easier & quicker for classes!
