Geared Up Garage

Here is a fun, bright and shiny birthday card using the stamp set called Geared Up Garage.  This stamp set is in the 2019 Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Catalog.  It has a matching set of dies called Garage Gears and you can save 10% by purchasing them in a Bundle.  I love the little gears these dies cut out.  They are all different sizes and full of details.  This Bundle is perfect for making a masculine card for birthdays or Father’s Day.

To make this card I first cut out all the gears using Silver Foil Sheets.  Then I stamped the car in Memento Black Ink and cut it out using the matching die. I stamped the sentiment also in Memento Ink.  I layered all the pieces onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock and wrapped a piece of the Black/Silver 1/4″ Striped Metallic ribbon around it.  The ribbon is nice and sparkly while still being masculine.  I layered all of that onto a piece of the Silver Foil Sheets and then the Basic Black cardstock.

If you purchase the Geared Up Garage Bundle and the ribbon you will be eligible to get something from the Sale-a-bration Catalog for Free!!

  1. This is a perfect blend of the car and gears, and I love this card! Funny story – I read this on my phone when I first woke up. I thought it said, “…fun, bright, and sunny…” I thought you were kidding (because it’s black and white), but then realized it said “shiny.” Yes, it is – fun, bright, and shiny (my favorite song from Moana). LOVE!

  2. I love the black & silver combination! Enough shine to make a guy feel special, but with enough ‘guy stuff’ (cars & gears) to make him feel okay about it! 🙂 (guys – they’re more complicated than we think!)
