Basket Of Blooms & A Fun Challenge

Last week I started a “Mystery Parts” challenge with some of my downline.  I totally stole this idea from a friend of mine and fellow Demo, Diana Gibbs (thank you Diana!).  This is where you send some pieces of cardstock, embellishments, Designer Series Paper or whatever you wish to people and they add their own stamps and supplies to make a card.  The only requirements are they have to use all the things you sent them and, of course, they have to use Stampin’ Up!® products.

Here is what I sent them:

As you can see it was some Just Jade and Whisper White cardstock, a piece of Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper ( I showed both sides in this photo but they only got one piece and could choose which side they wanted to use), and three Elegant Faceted Gems.

This is the card I made based on these supplies:

Stampin Up Basket Of Blooms

I used the stamp set called Basket Of Blooms.  I first stamped the pot in Smokey Slate and then colored it using the Light and Dark Cajun Craze Blends.  I stamped it again on a Post-It Note, cut it out and then covered the original stamp.  This is called Masking.  I had to do this so the leaves would look like they were inside the pot.  I stamped the leaves in Just Jade and colored them using a Soft Seafoam Marker.  I stamped the flowers in Smoky Slate Ink and then colored them using the Light Highland Heather Blends.  Then I punched them out using the Small Bloom Punch.  Lastly, I added an Elegant Faceted Gem to the middle of each flower.

Here are the creations my downline made.  I love how each one came out differently.

This one is Lynette’s:

This one is Karen’s:

This one is Char’s:

Aren’t they great?  I love how each one is different.
