Guy Greetings Fun Fold Card

Guy Greetings, Fun Fold

This is one of the cards we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses a stamp set called Guy Greetings that was originally in the 2015 Occasions Catalog and got carried over to the Annual Catalog (Yay!).  It is a great stamp set to make masculine cards with.

The card has a cute Corner Flip Fun Fold that I saw on Pinterest where the corner is folded over.  Dawn O., another demo, made a video on how to make this card.  You can see the video on YouTube HERE.  It is quite simple to make.  We decorated the inside of the card too.

Saying Goodbye To Chalk Talk

Chalk TalkThis is one of the cards we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses the stamp set called Chalk Talk which is (sadly) retiring this year.  I love this set and will miss it.  The good news is the matching Framelits are NOT retiring which means maybe there will be another stamp set to match them!

We used a fun technique with this card.  I took a brayer and ink it with Island Indigo and ran it over the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and actually stamped it on the Whisper White card stock.  You could run it through the Big Shot and emboss it too but I decided not to do that with this card.

Here is a picture of Madelyn at one week old.  It is nice to see her eyes open!  I figure my son, Sam, must have been the hair stylist for this photo.  He parted it just like his own!

A Soft Butterfly

Butterfly Basics, Butterfly Thinlits

I saw this color scheme (Sahara Sand and Crisp Cantaloupe) in a ton of cards on Pinterest and I really liked it  It seems soft and they go so well together that I had to make a card using them.  This card features the a butterfly cut from the Butterfly Thinlits (don’t forget to use a unscented dryer sheet when cutting this out).  The Designer Series Paper in is the 2015 Occasions Catalog and is called Something Borrowed.  Honestly, I don’t know why it is called that.  I guess it could be used for a wedding but it certainly doesn’t have to be.

The sentiment is from a new Photopolymer Stamp Set that is not in any catalog.  It is called Lovely Amazing You.  There are quite a few stamp sets that aren’t included in catalogs.  There is a link at the top of my blog where you can see all the different sets.

Mini Treat Bag

Mini Treat Bag, Chalk Talk

Here is a cute little bag I made with a couple of products from the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  I used the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies to make the bag itself.  It is so easy to do.  I love this set of Thinlits because it not only makes the cute little bag but it comes with a lot of different shapes and words that can be used with so many others things.

The other product I used to make this bag is the Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper.  I love this paper.  I think it is one of my all time favorites.  It really is so beautiful that the picture does not do it justice.

The tag was made using the stamp set and the matching Framelits called Chalk Talk.  These are in the Annual Catalog and you can save 15% by buying both.
