Baby Bear

Baby Bear, Stampin Up

This is one of the cards we made at our monthly stamp club meeting earlier in the summer.  I don’t know why I didn’t post it previous to this but I guess it doesn’t really matter.  This stamp set is called Baby Bear and is in the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  It is a 3-step stamp set which is why the bear looks so life like.  First you stamp the background color in the lightest color.  We used Crumb Cake.  Then you stamp over that with the 2nd stamp in the series (we used Soft Suede) and last of all, you stamp the third color over it all (we used Early Espresso).  It really give it a nice 3D look and it is very easy to line up.

I am saving this card to send to Madelyn.  It is a perfect card for a sweet, little girl.  Here is a picture of her in pigtails.  She is growing up way too fast!

Lovely Amazing You

Lovely Amazing You, Stampin Up, susanstamps.wordpress.com

Lovely Amazing You is a old stamp set that is now on the Clearance Rack.  It was one of the first Photopolymer Stamp Sets that Stampin’ Up! came out with and it is still one of my favorites.   If you haven’t checked out the Clearance Rack yet, you need to.  This stamp set is only $7.48 right now!  How amazing is that??  There were a ton of items added to it this week and are only available until supplies last.  Once they are gone, they are gone for good.  You can check out what else is on the list HERE.  Hurry before things start selling out!

Lovely Amazing You

Lovely Amazing You, World Of Dreams

I made this card using a stamp set from the Annual Catalog and a stamp set that is still available to purchase but not in any catalog.  I actually made this card a while ago and forgot to post it so consider this a commercial break from the Occasions Catalog.

To make the background of this card, I used an Aqua Painter on Watercolor Paper.  The colors I used were Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Sahara Sand.  I put a little ink the top of each ink pad, added a little water to it with the Aqua Painter and then painted it the cardstock. You really need to use Watercolor Paper to do this.  Otherwise your regular cardstock might pill.  I actually think it turned out pretty well.

The flower is from the stamp set called World Of Dreams (in the Annual Catalog) and the sentiment is from the stamp set called Lovely Amazing You (item # 140594).  I keep hoping it will end up in a catalog sometime but even though it is not, it is still available for purchase “until supplies last”.

Lovely Amazing You

Lovely Amazing You, Gorgeous Grunge

Lovely Amazing You is one of those stamp sets that is not in any Stampin’ Up! catalog but is available for purchase.  You can see a few other sets that are also available by clicking on the link about that says “Merchandise Not In The Catalog”.  I used this set to stamp the sentiment on this card.  I love the sayings and the fonts.  It reminds me of neat handwriting (certainly not my own!).

The splatters in the background are from Gorgeous Grunge and the butterfly comes in the stamp set called Butterfly Basics.  Try to ignore the ribbon I used.  I just realized it is retired!  Sorry about that!

Something For Baby

Something For Baby, Lovely Amazing You

I am sure none of you are surprised about finally seeing a baby card.  After all, I have babies on the brain right now.  One of the best baby sets we have available is called Something For Baby.  The best part of this stamp set is it has matching Framelits called Baby’s First and both of them are going to be in the new catalog!

Of course, since I just had to post a baby card, I feel like I must also post a Madelyn picture.  Here she is at three weeks old.  By the way, someone asked me if she was going to get her picture taken every week.  As far as I am concerned, the answer better be yes!  If I can’t see her every day, then I want lots of pictures and unfortunately, if I get more pictures so do you!  Feel free to skip the pictures of Madelyn.  Just don’t tell me you do!  🙂

A Simple Kinda Eclectic

Kinda Eclectic, Lovely Amazing You

I made this very simple one layer card using the stamp set called Kinda Eclectic.  When this set first came out, I used it so much but then I kind of forgot about it until recently.  Now you will probably see lots of cards using it!

I stamped the leaves in Lost Lagoon, Soft Sky, So Saffron and Crisp Cantaloupe.  I think it turned out to be a very pretty color combination (although a little odd too).  The sentiment is from the Photopolymer Stamp Set called Lovely Amazing You.  It is not in any catalog but you can still order it.  Remember, there is a link above that shows all the merchandise that is available to purchase that is not in any catalog.

Make sure you stop by tomorrow to see the Retirement List.  I am so sad that Crisp Cantaloupe and Coastal Cabana are leaving us.  They are two of my all time favorite colors.

Lovely Amazing You

Lovely Amazing You

Lovely Amazing You is a Photopolymer Stamp Set that is not in any catalog.  Stampin’ Up! adds new Photopolymer Stamps sets on a monthly basis.  You can see the stamp sets that are available by clicking on the link above that says Merchandise Not In The Catalog.  That page will show you everything that is available to purchase that is not in a catalog.

I really like Lovely Amazing You.  It has some great sentiments with a nice font that can be used many ways such as “love you more than chocolate” (is that even possible?) and “you make my heart happy”. The little circles are from the stamp set called Perpetual Calendar.  I know I have shown you a bunch of cards the past few days using that set.  I just think it is perfect to add accents to your card.

A Soft Butterfly

Butterfly Basics, Butterfly Thinlits

I saw this color scheme (Sahara Sand and Crisp Cantaloupe) in a ton of cards on Pinterest and I really liked it  It seems soft and they go so well together that I had to make a card using them.  This card features the a butterfly cut from the Butterfly Thinlits (don’t forget to use a unscented dryer sheet when cutting this out).  The Designer Series Paper in is the 2015 Occasions Catalog and is called Something Borrowed.  Honestly, I don’t know why it is called that.  I guess it could be used for a wedding but it certainly doesn’t have to be.

The sentiment is from a new Photopolymer Stamp Set that is not in any catalog.  It is called Lovely Amazing You.  There are quite a few stamp sets that aren’t included in catalogs.  There is a link at the top of my blog where you can see all the different sets.

Crazy About You

Crazy About You

The stamp set called Crazy About You is in the 2015 Occasions Catalog.  It comes in your choice of Wood Mount, Clear Mount or Photopolymer ~ something for everyone!  I bought it in Photopolymer because it makes it so easy to line up the words.  This set has 33 stamps in it which include 30 words and 3 designs.  One of the flowers in this set coordinates with the Flower Medallion Punch.  The other flower coordinates with the Scallop Circle Punch.

The sentiment I used on this card comes from a brand new Photopolymer stamp set that is not in any catalog called Lovely Amazing You.  I love the sayings in this set as well as the fonts.
