New Stampin’ Up! Pizza Boxes

This is one of the projects we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses a bunch of new Stampin’ Up! products.  The first one is the new Mini Pizza Box.  These cute pizza boxes come in a package of eight and are pre-cut and pre-scored which makes them super easy to put together.  They hold 3″ x 3″ cards and envelopes or small gifts and cookies!

The Designer Series Paper we used is called Quilted Christmas and is a 6″ x 6″ stack of 48 sheets (12 double sided designs).  The sentiment is from Snowflake Sentiments.  The punch is also new and is called Everyday Label Punch.  Even the ribbon is new

Don’r forget tomorrow is the last day to sign up for A Season Of Style Paper Pumpkin Kits as well as the last day for the The World Card Making Day Sale!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Perpetual Calendar,

Today is my birthday!  It is a BIG birthday!  It is a really BIG birthday!  I don’t really mind because I guess turning a big number is better than not!

In celebration of my birthday I am going to give away some product I have from the upcoming Holiday Catalog to one lucky person who orders at least $25 worth of product (before tax and shipping) today and uses the hostess code below.  I will randomly pick that person from everyone that orders.

Here is the hostess code:    ST2ZTNYA

Fine Print:  You will need to order by midnight tonight and you have to use the hostess code in order to qualify for the prize.  Club members are eligible to win but this order does not count towards your minimums.  You can not choose “No Contact” when ordering or I won’t know who you are.

Good luck!

Another Stamp Off Challenge

Stamp Off New Logo

Today is another Stamp Off Challenge.  When the three of us first started this we had decided to just do it occasionally.  Now it seems like we do a challenge every Friday (which is ok by me).  We are having fun and that is what counts.  The best part is that none of us know what the other two are doing so it is a surprise for us too.

inking embossing folder

This week we have an Embossing Folder Challenge where we have to stamp with an Embossing Folder.  This because a really popular technique when Stampin’ Up! came out with the Woodlands Embossing Folder.  In any case, I decided to combine my new Watercolor Class Techniques with this challenge.  For those of you who haven’t been paying attention, I am taking a Watercolor Class for Card Makers and love it!

Fabulous Four

I first made my watercolor background using Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango.  After that dried, I inked up the Tiny Triangles Embossing Folder with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and “stamped” it on the card.  All you do is put your piece of cardstock inside the Embossing Folder, close it and press down.

Craft Project Central Sketch Challenge

Buffy is part of a group of very talented artists that design for Craft Project Central.  She was telling me the other day about the sketch challenge they host on their blog so I decided to take a look.  This is what this month’s challenge is:

056-768x994

I thought it was kind of a cute sketch so I made a card using it.

By The Tide

I realized after I made this and took the picture that I forgot to add a couple of things to my card that were in the sketch challenge but I am hoping that is ok.

I used the stamp set called By The Tide.  It is a set that has been around a while and I hope it stays for a while longer.  It is a great set for making a masculine card.  The Designer Series Paper I used is called Going Places and is in the 2016 Occasions Catalog.  Lastly, the “happy birthday” stamp is from the February Paper Pumpkin kit.  It just happen to fit perfectly in that spot.

You can check out the other creations on Craft Project Central HERE.

Make A Wish

Amazing Birthday

Here is another December birthday card I made for a friend.  It is as far from being a Christmas card as one can get!  Maybe one could argue that I did use a green (Mint Macaron) but it is not really a Christmas green so I still think I am safe.

For this card I used the stamp set called Amazing Birthday.  It is a stamp set that is in the Annual Catalog.  I embossed a piece of Whisper White card stock and the lower piece of Watermelon Wonder using the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  Then I cut little strips of the other cardstock and put it in-between the embossed stripes.

Something For Baby

Something For Baby

This is the second card we made at my monthly Stamp Club meeting.  I decided to take a break from Christmas cards with the group.  Some of the ladies in the group have children, grandchildren or expecting either so I thought it would be a good time to use this set.   The best thing is it has a set of matching Framelits called Baby’s First Framelits.  You can buy both in a bundle and save 15%!

The two panels were made using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and were tied together using Crushed Curry Bakers Twine.  The sentiment is from the stamp set called Petite Pairs.

Lovely Amazing You

Lovely Amazing You, Gorgeous Grunge

Lovely Amazing You is one of those stamp sets that is not in any Stampin’ Up! catalog but is available for purchase.  You can see a few other sets that are also available by clicking on the link about that says “Merchandise Not In The Catalog”.  I used this set to stamp the sentiment on this card.  I love the sayings and the fonts.  It reminds me of neat handwriting (certainly not my own!).

The splatters in the background are from Gorgeous Grunge and the butterfly comes in the stamp set called Butterfly Basics.  Try to ignore the ribbon I used.  I just realized it is retired!  Sorry about that!

Techno Stamper Challenge

Birthday Bash

I was looking at Pinterest today and saw a sketch challenge that I liked so I decided to participate in it.  It is from Techno Stamper and it is called Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge 355.  Here is what the sketch challenge looks like:

355-247x300

I used the stamp set called Balloon Bash.  It is one of the set in the Stampin’ Up! 2015 Occasions catalog.  It has balloons!  Who doesn’t love balloons?  The Designer Series Paper is from a couple of different packs.  One is Moonlight and the other is Lullaby.  Both of them are in the 2015 Annual Catalog.

Painted Petals

Painted Petals, Lotus Blossom

This card uses a new stamp set from the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  It is called Painted Petals and is a two step stamp set.  This where you use one stamp and then add another stamp to complete the image.   In this case, the stems were stamped in Old Olive and the flowers were stamped in Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.  The tag is the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.

A Birthday Fun Fold Card

Perfect Pennants

I love to make Fun Fold cards because the person who receives it doesn’t know it is a different card until they open.  I got the idea from this card from a Pinterest post (I am sorry I don’t remember who originally made it so if it was you, let me know and I will give you credit).  Here is what you see when you open this card:

Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Metro Alphabet

It uses the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to make the fun tags when you open it.  The inside of the card is actually one piece.  The “Happy Birthday” sentiment was stamped using the new Photopolymer Stamp Set called Metro Type Alphabet.  You are going to love this alphabet set because it is so easy to place each letter exactly where you want it.  The stamps are clear and when you ink them, it allows you to stamp perfectly in place.  The Designer Series Paper is called Moonlight and comes in a pack of 48 sheets of 4.5″ x 6.5″ paper.  It is perfect for card making.  The birthday cake is from the stamp set called Embellished Events.  This is a great all around set because it has a lot of different images and sentiments for many occasions.
