Fresh Fruit

Fresh Fruit is one of those stamp sets that has been super popular with my customers.  It is such a fun set and has some great sentiments with it.  I think a lot of people purchased it because of the “Love You More” stamp.  It is perfect for parents or grandparents to send to their little ones.  Sadly, it will not be carried over into the new Annual Catalog.

I used the “Rock & Roll” technique to stamp the fruit and leaves.  This is where you ink up a stamp in one color and then lightly roll it around in a darker color so only the edges get inked with that color.  I stamped the pear in Pear Pizzazz (of course) and then Old Olive for the edges.  I stamped the peach in Peekaboo Peach (again, of course!) and then I rolled the edges on the Watermelon Wonder Ink Pad.  The flower was first inked in So Saffron and then Delightful Dijon.  Lastly, the leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz first and then Garden Green.

The swoosh in the background came from a stamp in Perpetual Calendar and the sentiment is from So In Love.

Happy Birthday To Me!

Perpetual Calendar,

Today is my birthday!  It is a BIG birthday!  It is a really BIG birthday!  I don’t really mind because I guess turning a big number is better than not!

In celebration of my birthday I am going to give away some product I have from the upcoming Holiday Catalog to one lucky person who orders at least $25 worth of product (before tax and shipping) today and uses the hostess code below.  I will randomly pick that person from everyone that orders.

Here is the hostess code:    ST2ZTNYA

Fine Print:  You will need to order by midnight tonight and you have to use the hostess code in order to qualify for the prize.  Club members are eligible to win but this order does not count towards your minimums.  You can not choose “No Contact” when ordering or I won’t know who you are.

Good luck!

#ImBringingBirthdaysBack

Number of Years, Large Numbers

Shannon West has started a new “movement” to bring birthdays back.  She decided that Facebook and other social media web sites have ruined birthdays because it is easier to write Happy Birthday to someone on Facebook instead of sending them a card.  She is right!  I would much rather have a birthday card sent to me than see birthday wishes on Facebook.  I bet the majority of you would too so I am joining her with “#Imbringingbirthdaysback”.

I made this birthday card using a stamp set from the 2016 Occasion Catalog called Number of Years.  This stamp set also has a set of matching Framelits called Large Numbers and you can not only save 15% by buying them both in a bundle but you are just $.75 away from getting something free from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. If you look closely, you can see I added a little sparkle to the numbers using the Wink Of Stella in clear.

I know this set is a little pricey but I think you will use it for years to come!  You can use it for birthdays, anniversaries and graduations.  You never have to buy another year stamp set (such as 2016).  It comes with some flowers, a banner (which is awesome) and all the needed ordinals (th, st, etc).  If you buy anything from Stampin’ Up!, you need to buy this set.

Perpetual Calendar Wreath

Perpetual Calendar, Perfect Pairings, Sale-a-bration

This winter has been so strange weather-wise.  It snowed up here once in November and then turned warmer instead of colder.  December had no snow at all.  It was 60 degrees on Christmas Eve!  I used to love the snow.  It was fun to take the kids sledding and we all downhill skied.  Although I feel badly for the ski slopes, I am not sad it did not snow this year.  I think this means I am ready to go somewhere south during the winter.  I heard it was 82 in Florida on Christmas.  That might be a little weird but I think I could get used to it!

In any case, I made this spring card to celebrate the warmer winter.  I know.  That makes no sense but I am going with it.  I used the Perpetual Calendar stamp set to make it.  I took a glass and lightly drew a circle on the card with a pencil so I would have a shape to go by.  When I was done stamping I was able to just erase the pencil mark.  I actually found a mechanical pencil that erases really well.  It is made by Papermate and is called Clear Point 0.7m.  I don’t know why, but it erases without leaving a trace.

The sentiment is from a Sale-A-Bration set called Perfect Pairings.  This set has 9 wood mount or clear mount stamps and you can get it for free with a qualifying purchase!  You can also get an extra $25 in Hostess Benefits with a $250 workshop (or order) or join my Stampin Up! family and get a $155 worth of product for $99!

Lovely Amazing You

Lovely Amazing You

Lovely Amazing You is a Photopolymer Stamp Set that is not in any catalog.  Stampin’ Up! adds new Photopolymer Stamps sets on a monthly basis.  You can see the stamp sets that are available by clicking on the link above that says Merchandise Not In The Catalog.  That page will show you everything that is available to purchase that is not in a catalog.

I really like Lovely Amazing You.  It has some great sentiments with a nice font that can be used many ways such as “love you more than chocolate” (is that even possible?) and “you make my heart happy”. The little circles are from the stamp set called Perpetual Calendar.  I know I have shown you a bunch of cards the past few days using that set.  I just think it is perfect to add accents to your card.

Don’t forget, today is the last day for FREE Shipping!

Mom Is 90 Today!

Perpetual Calendar

Today is my mother’s 90th birthday!  She is amazing for being 90.  She still lives on her own and drives (well that part is a little scary) and is very healthy.  She is the only 90 year old I know that doesn’t take any medications other than vitamins.  She still needlepoints, is an avid reader and volunteers at the local library.  I can only hope I am half as healthy as she is at her age.

I made this card using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and the stamp set called Perpetual Calendar.  I actually love this set because it has a ton of little stamps that can be used for a background.  There are stars, hearts, leaves, flowers, starbursts and many other shapes.  I think this set is overlooked because it goes with a kit, but you can just buy the stamps if you want.

Happy birthday Mom!

Pictogram Punches & Perpetual Calendar

Pictogram Punches, Perpetual Calendar

This is the second card we made at our monthly stamp club meeting.  It uses a few different stamp sets.  The flowers and the vase are from Pictogram Punches and the little flowers and leaves are from Perpetual Calendar.  Try saying Pictogram Punches and Perpetual Calendar three times fast!  I love the Perpetual Calendar stamp set.  Even if you didn’t buy the kit, the stamp set is a lot of fun.  It has a bunch of little shapes included in it which are perfect for backgrounds.  There are stars, hearts, starbursts, polka dots, butterflies, leaves and many others.  I love it to just add a little accent to cards.
