Goodbye World Of Dreams

World Of Dreams

Here is a quick and easy card using the stamp set called World of Dreams.  This is one of the stamp sets that is in the Annual Catalog that is going to retire at the end of May.  The nice thing about this set is it is great to use for a silhouette.  I have made many cards using this technique.  If you go to the search box to the right of this post and put in World of Dreams or Serene Silhouettes you can see some of those cards.

The sentiment for this card comes from the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit.  This kit comes with a bunch of sentiment stamps that are fun to use.  I am happy to say that this card kit will be available in the new catalog that comes out on June 1st.  It is a great kit where you make 20 different cards.  That is amazing!  Lastly, if you look closely you can see where I stamped a background using the stamp set called Timeless Textures.

Don’t forget to check out the other items that are retiring at the end of May.  Make sure you get your favorites before they are gone forever.

Lovely Amazing You

Lovely Amazing You, World Of Dreams

I made this card using a stamp set from the Annual Catalog and a stamp set that is still available to purchase but not in any catalog.  I actually made this card a while ago and forgot to post it so consider this a commercial break from the Occasions Catalog.

To make the background of this card, I used an Aqua Painter on Watercolor Paper.  The colors I used were Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Sahara Sand.  I put a little ink the top of each ink pad, added a little water to it with the Aqua Painter and then painted it the cardstock. You really need to use Watercolor Paper to do this.  Otherwise your regular cardstock might pill.  I actually think it turned out pretty well.

The flower is from the stamp set called World Of Dreams (in the Annual Catalog) and the sentiment is from the stamp set called Lovely Amazing You (item # 140594).  I keep hoping it will end up in a catalog sometime but even though it is not, it is still available for purchase “until supplies last”.

World Of Dreams

World of Dreams, Oh My Goodies

By now you should realize that I really love the look of Sahara Sand and Crisp Cantaloupe or Calypso Coral.  I have posted a few cards using this color combination lately.  I just think they go so well together.  For this card, I used Calypso Coral.  Unfortunately, Crisp Cantaloupe is one of the In Colors that is retiring.  I sure will miss that one!

I used the stamp set called World of Dreams to stamp the flowers.  I stamped each one twice before re-inking the stamp which creates the light and dark flowers.  It does kind of look like Crisp Cantaloupe but it isn’t.  Then I stamped the leaves in Sahara Sand.

The sentiment is from the stamp set called Oh My Goodies.  The stamps in this set match the Deco Label Framelits so there was no fussy cutting.

Back To Black Mojo Monday

mojo353This is this week’s Mojo Monday challenge.  Mojo Monday is an appropriate name because I needed to find a little mojo of my own.  Here is my card:

Back To Black

I decided to make a simple card using this sketch.  I used the Back To Black Designer Series Paper.  It has become one of my favorite papers.  The designs are beautiful and all of them are black and white.  I used the new Hearts Border Punch that is in the 2014/2015 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog.  The sentiment is from World of Dreams and the Daffodil Delight heart is from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

World Of Dreams

World Of Dreams, Work Of Art

This card uses a lot, I mean A LOT of different stamp sets that are in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.  The black flowers are from a set called World of Dreams.  I love this set (ok, I admit, I love a lot of sets).  It has four different silhouette stamps.  The color swooshes (is that a word?) is from the stamp set called Work of Art and the sentiment is from And Many More.  This is the new set that will replace Teeny Tiny Wishes in my heart.  I like it even better because the fonts are all different on these stamps where Teeny Tiny Wishes all have the same font.
